One Seventeen Project is committed to partnering with Safe Families as we seek to disrupt the number of children going into the foster care system. Our goal is to Mobilize the church to care for families in crisis and offer a ministry of compassion. Providing the church the opportunity to demonstrate the gospel and support children in crisis by offering shelter, safety and love. Equipping the church to practice hospitality and mercy ministry.
One Seventeen Project is committed to reaching our at risk neighborhoods with the gospel. Partnering with existing inner city churches to run summer day camps in their communities. For the last decade we have mentored and discipled hundreds of suburban kids as they join us on an incredible cross cultural journey into some of our countries roughest neighborhoods. You can learn more about opportunities to serve in Oakland and abroad here.

Our desire is to come alongside those interested and doing this "good work". For those interested we want to provide opportunities, resources, tools and even best practices. To those in the daily grind of doing full-time orphanage work, we want to come alongside and encourage them by doing camps and assistance.
